Media Rule change Jul 2026

New robot and inverter models shut out of the US

Since Jul 28, mobile robots and connected inverters built outside the US get no FCC authorization for new models. A launch plan built on the US alone stops at the next model.

Why it matters for makers

The rule stops new models, not the business. A maker that planned on the US alone now needs Canada and Mexico first, a record of which models were authorized before Jul 28, and a firmware plan up to Jan 1, 2029.

What we do

Door check, Canada and Mexico first
